I finished my Master in Computer Science with a focus on Life Science Informatics and Computer Vision in Bonn and am now completing my studies in Human Medicine at Maastricht University.
My current goal is to research medical applications in diagnosis, prognosis and treatments for recent advances in image and video analysis. Currently, I support the Working Group Wintergerst as a PhD student with smartphone-assisted Diabetic Retinopathy detection and Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS) analysis. The topic of my PhD is: “Learning what is relevant: Attention-based analysis of high-resolution ophthalmic images and videos”.
Previously, I have worked in various projects for IBM Germany, Fraunhofer Institutes and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) as a software engineer. In the past I also worked as tutor for software engineering, programming in various languages, machine learning and computer visualizations.
Feel free to reach out to me with questions.
